WHO IS YEP INC?
The CEO and Founder of Youth Empowerment, Inc. is Kelvin Snelling, along with his wife who is the Co-Founder, Shaun Snelling.
Kelvin has always had a dream of becoming a mentor and an example to young males within the community. Growing up in Orlando and attending well-known, popular schools pushed him to become a positive figure amongst his peers. This dream became a passion which resulted in the establishment of the Youth Empowerment Program, Inc.
Youth Empowerment Program, Inc. is a non-profit organization 501(c3), where we mentor youth males in grades 6th through 10th.We launched our mentoring program in January 2018, by holding bi-weekly sessions at the Diamond Lab Center, located in the Pine Hills area, at The Experience Christian Center and every Wednesday at The Saints Academy Orlando. In the summer of 2018, we branched out to the Northwest Community Center, where we offered bi-weekly mentoring sessions to youth males in the Mercy Drive corridor. We currently hold monthly mentoring sessions at Orlo Vista Park, to promote positive dialogue and to help the youth males strive to be leaders and role models here in the City of Orlando and Orange County.
